Chris and I went on a vacation to California to visit his mission. I got to meet some of the people that Chris knew and taught on his mission. We stayed at the Goodbars house, they were converts of his. We left our house at 5 and got to their house at 1. After we got all packed the Goodbar's took us to a restaurant called Ruddy's. It was a restaurant at the end of the dock so you could see a beautiful view of the ocean. We slept in Ronnie's room, who is 10 years old, and very hyper.
The next day was Sunday so for church we went to the Tongan ward. I loved it! The people were so nice, when they sang they sang as if there was twice as many people in the room then there really was. When sacrament was over the bishop came over to talk to us. He had a lae on but he gave it to me. All the girls told me how lucky I was and all the guys would say "you picked him?" After that we stopped by the first ward that Chris served in. We also visited a few other people that Chris knew like sister Adams, the Houtons, and the stake president. We got back to the Goodbar's and took a nice long nap. For diner the Goodbar's ordered pizza, and we watched TV with them until it was time for bed.
The next day we went to sea world. The dolphin show was closed but we got to see everything else. They have a new pet show that we really liked. We were a little disappointed that they didn't have as many or as big sharks yet at the same time they crept me out. The Shamu show was really cool though. It was a blast but we were very tired from walking around all day. This night we stayed at the Mquires house. They gave us soup, for FHE we watched a comedian and talked. They were such a neat family. The dad reminded me of Chris cause he was all buff. He likes working out, and eating healthy very much like Chris. They got along very well.
When we got up we took off to a really nice beach. Chris insisted on not getting wet but I think that his curiosity of watching me running away from the waves and grabbing seashells because after a matter of time he was wet up to his knee. So we had to change into shorts in the car. The weather was really nice. We also had a picnic on the beach, and the weather was really nice. We got back to the Goodbars and they took us out to one of Chris's favorite places called Claim Jumper.
They next day we went to Disneyland. The Goodbars son, Josh, works at Disneyland and he can get himself and three other people in 16 times a year. This was Chris's first time and my third. It was a blast, we went on a lot of rides, took pictures, and watched 3D movies, we even met Mickey the Mouse. We brought lunch so we saved money, which is nice. Chris got a head-ache from one of the rides but he took medicine and felt better. This, like Sea World, had made us pretty tired, so we went out to get pizza at the California Pizza Kitchen. We were so tired when we left, I almost feel asleep in the car. It also took a little longer to get home because Chris was going the wrong way until he saw LA city and turned around.
Today we wanted to take it easy. We went out to eat lunch with the Blinsman's who were in the first ward Chris served in. We went to the Cheese Cake Factory. That place is very expensive but they paid so I got ribs and Chris got fish. For the rest of the day we walked around an outside mail and got matching shirts from Hollister. That night the Goodbars took us out to a Mexican food restaurant. It was our last night there so we said goodbye and got up at 4 in that morning to head home.
