The Pool

Chris has the day off so we decided to take Jaylee to the swimming pool in Lindon. She loved it, it was nice to go out as a family. We loved going around the lazy river. We also like the pool because it wears Jay out.

Jr & Katlyns Engagments

I took the cute couples engagement pictures and I wanted to put them on. They were fun to do pictures for. Enjoy!

4th of July

I love the fourth because I love fireworks. I am so excited because it will be Jaylee's first time seeing them. I'm curious how she will take it. We decided if us, the Barnes, and my parents played about $12 on fireworks we could get some good ones! We found a package at Maceys for $38 perfect! So we went to my parents house and had diner! Chris wanted to do grilled pizza! We made a ton of pizza and still had dough left over! It was so yummy and we feed everyone. The Yates came over too! It was fun. Then we played some volleyball. My mom and Krista sat our to talk and watch Jaylee. It was lots of fun! Very tiring so watching fireworks after was the perfect activity. The boys lit them, at first Jay seemed nervous and scared but she figured it out and then loved it! By the end she was clapping and cheering! When we got home she went to bed to fast!

Katlyns Bridal Shower

My cousin Jordan is engaged to the sweetest girl! They are perfect for each other. Today is her bridal shower. I went with my mom and Jay. We played a fun game where we got about 15 different pictures of katlyn and we had to guess how old she was. It was fun to get to know her more. Jaylee found a lid to a jar, she kept putting the lid in her mouth and sucking it like a binki! Everyone had a good laugh. Katlyn really likes Alice and Wonderland so that was the theme of the shower. It was super cute! I'm so excited for those two love birds!

Baby #2

Today I went to the elementary school with Jaylee to visit the kids. I have been to visit four times before this but this will be last time with some of the kids moving on to middle school. They are having a dance festival and we wanted to watch. All of the ladies that I used to work with came today too. It was so fun to see them all. They loved to see Jaylee and hold her as she bounced to the music.  I got home and layed down because I was so tired and Jaylee was too. When Chris got home the three of us went to the dollar store to pick up a pregnancy test because I still hadn't started. When I got home I took the test. Chris was feeding Jaylee a bottle so she could take her second nap. When I came in the room I couldn't stop smiling because the test came back positive. We are going to be having baby #2!! I can't believe it, Jaylee is 10 months old! We have told Chris's mom and dad and we have plans of telling my parents on Saturday! I can't wait, its killing me!

Brown Reunion

The Browns reunion is in Idaho again this year. I am excited though because I think that Jaylee will like it. The ride was a little hard because it was right during her nap time and she doesn't take many naps out side of her crib. It took her 30 minutes to fall asleep and then she only slept for 30 minutes and the ride was 2 and a half hours. Once we got there though she did great. The food wasn't ready yet so we got into our swim suits so we could get on the water slide. It was a tarp that he been laid down and had water hose to make it slippery. It's nicer that I just made it sound. Chris went down with Stockton so I went down with Jaylee. She loved it, all the way down the slide she kept whispering "jajajaja" It was funny. I took her down about 5 times and then I felt really exhausted so I stopped. Chris went down 2 times with Stockton and my dad. The first time they all biffed it. The second time they balanced weight better and they went fast all the way tot the end of the slide. I am glad nobody got hurt. Now the food was ready so we came down and got some food to eat. Lots and lots of food! There was a little girl there about a year or so older than Jaylee. Jaylee wanted to give her a hug so she hugged her but lost her balance and both girls went down. Still cute! We decided to head home, so we said our goodbyes and got into the car to make our 2 and a half hour ride back. I drove this time because Chris was exhausted and Jaylee was too. She feel asleep a lot easier than she did before.

Jaylee's One

Today is Jaylee's first birthday, I can't believe that I had her a year ago. It seems like we just brought her home yesterday. She has been the biggest ray of sunshine in our life. She is such a happy sweet cute girl. I just love her to death. We invited both of our families over to our house to celebrate her birthday. We invited everyone over for diner at 5:30. Once all the food was set out we ate. We had Chicken Salad Sandwhiches as the main dish along with chips, salad, watermelon, and drinks. We all hung out and ate, once we were done we decided to have Jaylee open her presents. I swear there were more presents than people there. Jaylee had so much fun, she didn't know what to do with herself because she had so many new things she wanted to play with but she didn't know which one to play with first. She would pick one up and look at it, then she would see another one and drop it to pick that one up. She kept slapping the paper around and cheering. She had a blast, but nothing like what she was about to do. We knew she would make a mess so we took her clothes off and put her in her high chair. He got a cake from Maceys and put two little minions with a 1 candle on top. We all sang to her and her expression was hilarious. She just stared at us with a look of shock on her face. She stared like that threw the whole song. She didn't know what to do with the cake at first so Chris dipped her hand in it and she put it in her mouth, after that she was gone, She loved the cake and really made a mess. She was so entertaining! Once she was done Chris cleaned her off and we had everyone get some ice cream and cake. I hope that Jaylee had a great birthday she seemed to because when we got her ready for bed we took her down stairs and she dance for about a half an hour! She really is a hoot and a half!

5 Year Reunion

I can't believe that I have been a graduate for 5 years! Chris and I went to my reunion, it was really informal and layed back. Honestly, nobody really came. I talked to Alyssa, and Natacha Lott. Alyssa came because we came and Natacha was the one friend that I saw there that I actually hung out with growing up. We were great friends in middle school and had a good time laughing about memories. We didn't stay to long, Chris said he was greatful Jaylee was there because he would have been bored. He talked to another daddy there, they mostly just talked about the babies and how lame the reunion was. ha ha I can't blame him. Maybe the 10 year will be better!

Also, today Chris and I were filling up Jaylee's penguin pool so she could play in it. Chris was out side watching Jaylee and I was trying to get the water warmer by bringing hot water from inside and pooring it into the pool. I left the water on so I could go faster, I dont know why I was in such a hurry but I was running. As I went up the stairs for my third time I missed a step and fell down about 2 of them. This is the stairs in the garage. Chris heard a big crash as I dropped the pot and fell to the floor. He didn't know what to do because he had Jaylee but there I am laying on the concriete floor screaming and holding my leg. I have to say Im not a screamer but that hurt so bad. I held my leg close to my chest because it hurt to let go or move. Chris came over asked what he could do. I told him to get Jaylee and turn off the water. He did that and then came back. I told him that I couldn't move it and it hurt real bad. So he slowly and gently picked me up and layed me on the couch in our front room. He proped my leg onto a pillow and helped me slowly straightin it. I was so worried it was broken because I had never broken a bone, and this hurt like I imagioned a broken leg might. Chris called our neighbor who is a physical therapist and could possibly help us. He came about an hour later which by then Chris had carried me down to the living room so I could watch TV awhile I was stuck on the couch. Jaylee went to bed and the neighbor, Will Sykes, checked out my leg. He said that it wasn't broken but the reason that it hurt so bad was because we all have a pocket of nerves right under our knee cap and when I fell I had hit right there on one of the steps. He said it would just take time but to try and walk on it when I could to help strengthen it back to normal. I am so glad that he was able to help us out and I was able to go to the reunion that night.

22nd Birthday

I turned 22 today! Chris got back from his onsight last night but he is being his awesome self and taking me to Red Lobster for lunch and the strawberry days rodeo to celebrate. Jaylee came with us to lunch. I really like Red Lobster, even though I dont like sea food. I love their bisquits and ceaser salad, and chicken alfredo! So good, the waitress and old couple next to us just thought Jaylee was the cutest thing! I love rodeos, this will be Chris's first one. Chris had gotten our tickets a week or so ago and it was a good thing because the show sold out right when we got there. We had 3rd row sets and got to sit on the shaded side. The rodeo was awesome, oh yes, Ranae and Samuel agreed to watch Jaylee for us. We thought about bringing her along but I thought it would be to late for her and I was right. The rodeo started late and didn't end until about 10. We stayed and watched the fireworks they had at the end of the rodeo. After the rodeo was over we went to purple turtle to try one of their shakes. We want to do this every year, maybe not for my birthday but with the family. It would be lots of fun!

Sister Witham's Home

Another homecoming, much needed homecoming. Alyssa has been my best friend from high school. Her parents invited me and Ranae to go pick her up at the airport. I was so excited to see her again. We meet up with her parents and waited. She finally came down the excalator and we cheered for her. She hugged her family and then Cami and Shalece finally made it. We went over to Alyssa's house to have a lunch in and catch up with her. We could have talked for hours but Alyssa needed to be with her family so we got kicked out. :)

June 18, 2014

Her homecoming was the following sunday and I got to go and see her again. I went with Chris, Ranae, Samuel, my mom, Stockton, Sarah, and Josh. Alyssa is just loved by my whole family. She gave a great talk, its always cool to hear their stories. I can tell that she was a great missionary. The food was great as usual.

Rylee's Baptism

Rylee is getting baptised today. We carpooled with Ranae and Sam. I remember being so nervous, we stopped by my parents house. My mom is going to go but my dad decided to stay home. I don't blame hime and I think he made a good choice. We picked up Sarah and headed to the church. My mom held Jaylee the whole time which I think helped to keep her calm. As we walked into the church I saw my Uncle Ron and I gave him a big hug and told him that I was nervous. He said "I am too" We walked in and found a seat. The Barkers were already there. Sarah kept telling me how scared she was. I told her to stay by me and I would make sure they didn't get close enough to say anything even if they wanted to. Every time they would have us move I would make sure I was behind Sarah and that she sat between me and someone else. I felt very protective of Sarah. When we got into the font room and we were all settled down the spirit came and it felt like a normal baptism. My uncle Chris got into the font with Rylee. He baptised her and then she came out and we went to the chapel so she could get the gift of the holy ghost. After that it was over and we headed home. Teri invited us to her house for lunch, we couldn't decide if we should go at all but as we drove home we passed the Barkers and they were headed the other way. Once we knew they wouldn't be there we decided to go. First we went and got changed. We put Jaylee in a onsie that said "Only Child Expires January." This is how I wanted to tell my family and it was so hard not to tell them before. I had three days I had to wait and I even saw them at Sarahs graduation. So hard. I was holding Jaylee trying to get them to notice. Ranae and Samuel already knew, so they were laughing at my parents because they weren't noticing. My parents seemed so confused and what we were laughing at. They had been talking about the wolverine movie and thought we were laughing because they liked it. Finally we told them to read Jaylee's shirt. My mom covered her mouth and gasped. ha ha so funny. After congradulations we went down to Teri's. It was kind of nice to be back in my grandparents house eating with some of the family. When people noticed the shirt they would come and congrate me. The food was great!

BBQ with the Nelsons

We went to a park to have a BBQ with some of our friends from the old ward. It was fun to see everyone and have Jaylee see some baby friends. Kassi and Josh's baby is 1 month younger than Jaylee and another baby was named Liam he was only 4 months. Ranae and Samuel came with us. Hoping it just made them more baby hungry. :) We had hamburgers and hotdogs. Lots of yummy food like chips and watermelon. I wanted to share this day because Jaylee was so cute with Clara.

Elder Yates is Home

My cousin Josh got back from his mission on May 20th. He gave his talk the following Sunday. He already had an amazing testimony before he left but you could see it had only grown from his mission. He loved the people and love talking about his mission.  Instead of going to Josh's straight after we went to my dads class. Now he is teaching gospel doctrines but he is still finding ways to had relationship and parenting into his lesson. After his lesson was over we went to his house to have some lunch and hang out. Chris and I took turns feeding Jaylee as she wanted to eat everything awhile we were there. After Chris was done he took Jay back to my parents so she could nap and he could play Xbox. I wanted to stay and chat with everyone. We even ended up talking to Teri. She invited us to Rylees baptism. This is a big deal for us because of everything that has been going on. Teri had invited the Barkers too and they were planning on coming out. It will be tuff but were going to go anyway. It was fun to talk to Josh because no matter what the subject was he would find a way to make it church related.
