Team Cabin Trip

Chris's is in support at fishbowl, and support is seperated into teams. Lacole's husbands family has a nice cabin and so as a team we're going up to the cabin for the weekend. We were so excited! We ended up leaving a little latter than planned and the weather plus traffic was bad so we didn't get to the BBQ place to eat till about 7. The food was pretty good, we just got 2 family meals to share with everyone. Everyone that went was obviously us, Lacole and her husband Ben. Then there was Seth and his wife Liz, and Randy with his wife Cindy. When we finished eating we went up to the cabin. It was raining so we had to take the long way around. We finally got there unpacked and let Jaylee get her wiggles out from being in the car a total of 3 hours. Then we put her to bed, it was pretty late! We stayed up with everyone else playing games. We played catch phrase, it was so much fun. It was boys vs girls. We did 3 rounds, first the girls won, then the boys won. So the third round was the tye breaker and the girls won. It wasn't looking good at first because we were behing about 4 and we came back. We talked for a little longer and then went to bed.

Chris and I had a hard time sleeping so we just got up around 7, plus Jaylee was up and ready to go. We layed in bed as a family for a little while and then we went down stairs. Randy and his wife were up watching the deer outside. It was a little cold. Once Lacole and her husband got up we started cooking breakfast. When breakfast was ready Seth and Liz got up. We had breakfast burritos, Jaylee really liked them. We cleaned up breakfast. Lacole and Ben took Randy and Cindy out on the four wheelers and the rest of us went on the deck to shoot some guns. I hit my first clay pigeon and called it good because I wanted to keep my record 100%. It was Liz's first time shooting, it was fun to watch her try. She almost got knocked over bu one because she wasn't expecting the kick to be so hard. Chris is starting to get into guns. He seemed to really enjoy it! When the other group got back Lacole and Ben took the rest of us out on the four wheelers. I was so excited, I hadn't been four wheeling in a long time. We put Jaylee down for her first nap and then headed off. I have to say this was my favorite part of the trip. Chris drove and I held on, he is a safe yet fun driver. The sights were beautiful, we got to see go up pretty high and see the valley. There were also a lot of sheep running about because there is a sheep hearder that lives up there. There were some jumps in the middle of the trail, Chris was trying to help me by standing up on the jumps but then I would slide down and he would sit in my lap. He didn't know why I kept laughing until we stopped and I told him. We also saw ab abanded RV. Ben told us there was this crazy guy that used to live there but he got run out because he thought he owned the land and would kill the sheep if he saw them. Later along the trail we saw two dead sheep. It was really sad and really gross. Chris's favorite part of the trail was when we went up the steapper part. We went pretty fast and he liked swerving around the turns. When we got back to the cabin we had lunch. Chris and I were in charge of the lunch so we braught turkey and ham so we could have some sandwhiches. After we ate and cleaned up  and everyone took a nap. Chris and I didn't really get to because we had Jay. We layed on the couch together and she walked around talking and playing with her toys. When everyone woke up we played games and then we went back out to do some more shooting. We put Jaylee down for her second nap. This time we wanted to make it into a game. So we did boys vs girls and layed out clay pigeons for us to aim at. Fisrt we started with the closer ones till there weren't any left. The boys did win but I have to say the girls stayed caught up for the most part. I believe the end score was Boys 12 and girls 7. Jaylee woke up and came out to watch us shoot. She seemed to like it, she just walked around the porch with her toys. She liked me to hold her and watch people shoot. After we finished shooting we came in side and started to clean up so that we could head home. Chris and Cindy had already started picking up so we just had to finish and get everything in the car. We drove with Seth and Liz so on the way home, (which was so much faster this time, about an hour and a half) we stopped in Draper to get some diner. We ate at pei wei. I had never been before but it was Chris's favorite place. I really liked it too. We got home and put Jaylee to bed and went straight to bed. We were pretty tired from all of the fun that we had. It was so nice to do something with Chris that we don't normally get to do.
