Sod Party
We are finally getting grass in our front yard. Hayden, Stockton, Rachel, and Jed stayed the night so that they could help us lay the sod at 9 in the morning. Hayden had his senior night so he didn't get back to our place until 4:30 in the morning. I am glad that he is still willing to help. Half way threw the work our neighbor Terry came over and helped. I introduced him to Stockton because he is a big Jazz fan. It only took us a little over and hour and a half to get it all done. It looks so much better, it is crazy how big of a difference grass can make on a house. We got pizza for the kids as a thank you for helping.

Haydens Graduation
Today is Haydens graduation. His graduation was at UVU at 7:30. Luckily my mom had gotten there early to save us seats but she called and said it was getting hard to save seats because they didn't want people to be saving spots. So we left our house without eating diner first to get there. Ranae and Samuel for some reason went to BYU. They still made it one time but it was close. My grandma and grandpa Yates were there as well. It went on for a long time just like most graduations do. Afterwards we took pictures of him. I can't believe that my brother is a senior that is graduating. I am so proud of him for graduating but I am also proud of the man he is becoming. Congrates Hayden, I love you!

Last Good-byes
I have always wanted to be a stay at home mom. Thankfully Chris's job will allow me to do that. I have been working at Rocky Mt. Elementary in the special needs class for 2 years now. The timing of our babies arrival is perfect. I have been able to finish off the year and I will still have 2 months to get things all ready. I have known these kiddo's for a long time. I have also worked with the same wonderful women. It is hard to say good-bye. I plan on visiting them Especially since they are just down the street. This year has been a great year. We always have so much fun as well as working hard. These kids have progressed so much. It is weird to look back and see where we started. I am so proud of them and I have felt honored to get to know them. I love you guys and will miss you so much.

Memorial Day
Since it is Memorial Day we all have work off. We went out to my parents house around 3. At first we just sat around reading funny twit facts online. Everyone played outside awhile my parents and I prepared the food. After that we put the food on the BBQ and ate. The food was so good, I love hamburgers. When we finished eating we cleaned up so that we could all go and play volleyball. Team one consisted of Mom, Chris, Stockton, Hayden and Samuel. The second team was myself, Ranae, Rachel, and dad. It was so fun to all play together. We played for games none of which my team won. We were always very close though but for some reason we could never seem to end well. We also had a lot of injuries, thankfully nothing to serious. Dad scrapped both the skin of the bottom of both of his big toes, Ranae and Rachel collided, I got a ball to the face, Stockton ran over mom, and Stockton also collided with Chris leaving a big bump on the back of his head and Stockton with a bloody mouth. We eventually were to tired to play so we went inside to get a movie started. Some of us were in the mood for a scary movie so we rented Mama from the red box. It was pretty good, I had a hard time sleeping that night. I loved being with my family, we always have so much fun.

Christmas Eve
Today is Jenni's birthday too so we went to Chris's parents house to celebrate. As you can see in the pictures all of the candles were put onto her cookie. Since Jenni's birthday falls on Christmas Eve we also did our Christmas game. We did our white elephant gifts.

Mothers Day
We got back from our trip on mothers day. So we took some time to unwind at home. Then Chris got a good idea that since my family was going to be at church till 4 we should go decorate the house for my mom. So we told the Barnes to meet us at moms at 2. We got there a lil early cause we left to give us time to see Chris's mom but she wasn't home. So I started decorating, I love doing this kind of stuff. However 1/2 way threw I heard the garage open and my mom came in. She had to get something for church and she caught us. That was ok though, I had more decorating to do and I think she was still surprised. So when everyone got back from church we hid her presents. Most of us were nice and hid them easy, however Stockton hid it pretty hard. She still found it though with a little help. Rachel and also wrapped all of my moms charms seperatly which I thought was funny. She got the charms and a braclet for them plus a wood tree of hope from my dad. Hayden got her shoes, Rachel got her a wood tree saying thank you, and the rest of us got her 3, 1/2 shirts. I just love my mom. She has always been such a great example to me of what a mom is. I hope that I can be even 1/2 as good of a mom as she is. I know that she is going to be just as good a grandma too. After that we all headed down to grandmas for a family BBQ. The food was so good. Around 7 Chris and I left so that we could go and try to catch his mom. Luckily she was home and we were able to talk to her for about an hour. She is a great mom too and I'm so glad that Chris and I had the moms that we did. I am greatful that I have a mother in-law that I love. I have always heard the jokes and horror stories of mother in-laws and I can say that mine doesn't fit that stereo type at all. I am also glad that our baby with both her grandmas.

Goblin Valley
We decided that we needed to go on a little vacation together before we had the baby. We went with Ranae and Samuel. We stayed at a hotel in Green River so that we could go see Goblin Valley. The four of us left on Friday after we were all done with work and school, which ended up being around 1. The drive was about 2 and 1/2 hours away, so we got there at 3:30. When we got to Green River we felt like we were in a ghost town. There were lots of old buildings that were out of business, some buildings looked like they had been broken down for decades. We checked into our hotel and layed around for a bit and then went to find some diner. We were hoping for some pizza but the only pizza place close by was Chow Hound and we couldn't get ourselves to eat there just yet. So we tried another place but as soon as you walked in it smelt like an old folks home and we just couldn't get ourselves to eat there. Luckily there was an Arby's and a Subway just off the exit. So we all got Arby's and Chris got Subway. When we finished we headed back to the hotel.
That morning we got up and went to get breakfast around 8 and it was pretty full. We had to wait for some people to finish before we could sit down. We ate and then got ready to go to Goblin Valley. I was so excited. Samuel was the only one who had been there before. When we finally got there I have to say it was one of the coolest things that I had ever seen. The rocks really looked like goblins, or mushrooms. There weren't very many people there at first so we wondered around the front looking at all the cool rocks. It was so interesting that the rocks could turn out that way. We started to venture further away towards the bigger rocks in the back. We found lots of caves and got to climb pretty high and see the whole valley. I was pretty impressed with myself because I was able to do the same stuff as everyone else despite that I was 7 months pregnant. We also caught a lizard, we started seeing more and more lizards after that. It was just amazing, and we all had a blast. It was really cool too because me and Ranae had talked about how cool it would be to hang out together with our husbands since we were in middle school and now we are. We had gone all the way around the valley so we decided to head back and get some lunch. We had packed a cooler with stuff to make ham and turkey sandwhiches. It was so yummy. It had been about 2 hours on our Goblin Valley trip. So after lunch we decided to go to another place close by called Little Wild Horse. At first it seemed like a normal hike but the further into it you get the closer the canyon rocks got to the point that only one person could fit threw at a time. I felt bad when people had to pass because I couldn't really suck in. We didn't go the whole way threw considering we just spent a lot of time in Goblin Valley but we were another good hour. I am so glad that we went both places were worth seeing. When we got back to the hotel we took a rest. Then headed down to the pool. It was nice to relax in the hot tub, well for Chris, I could only stick my feet in. However it was also fun to get in the pool and race. It didnt last long but it was couples teamed up. Ranae and I were on the boys backs and they saw who could get to the other side first. Samuel got there first but he also lost Ranae along the way. This time for diner we decided that no matter how gross the Chow Hound sounded we were going to go and eat it anyway. Were so glad that we did because it was just fine. We even came back later to get a shake there. We took our shakes to a park that was across the street. The lady that worked at Chow Hound told us that there were only 900 people living in the city. No wonder so many places were out of business. It was a nice visiting but I have to say that I am greatful to live where we do. After our shakes we headed back to the hotel were we played catch phrase. I got a headache so my amazing husband Chris took me to the gas station to get me some medecine. When we got back we just watched Harry Potter, only difference was we muted it and Samuel did the voices for all the characters. It was the best time I have had watching Harry Potter.
The next morning we did the basics, woke up, ate breakfast, got packed and headed home. In the car we played a fun game. You pick a topic, the first person things of a word, the next person thinks of a word that starts with the last letter of the other persons word but it has to stay on topic. It pretty much lasted the whole drive.
