July 22

We went to the doctors on the 16 of this month. The doctor told us that he was going to induce us the following week. He said go into the hospitle Sunday night so they could give us the medicine, then they would induce us Monday morning. I couldn't believe we could actually see the end. We had only 6 days until we would be parents and get to hold our little girl in our arms.

this is the last picture we took pregnant. We are on our way out to the hostpitle.

We got into the Timp. Hospitle, they told us that they weren't expecting us for another 2 hours. So we could go and come back or wait, we decided to wait. So we sat in the hospitle room for that time. Chris was tired so he pulled out the bed (which was the most uncomfortable thing ever) and I turned on the TV. I was so nervous I kept curling up to Chris and crying, then I would get up and pace. Part of me would jump when I thought they were opening our door and the other part of me wanted them to just get it started already. We started getting hungry so Chris grabbed KFC. They finally came in to do the paper work. After we finished it they returned 30 minutes later to tell us that our insurance didn't cover their hosptile. They said that it had just recently changed and our insurance should have sent us something in the mail. I couldn't believe it, all that worrying and I still had to wait. So we called the doctor at our clinic (doc. Parker) and he said that he was at the AF Hospitle right now and we could go over and get it done there. So we packed back up and headed to AF. We got checked in, they gave me the medicine (starts my contractions). It was a slow process, or at least it felt slow.I wasn't against getting an epidural but I wanted to try and see how far I could go. It was hurting very bad, i can't even explain the feeling but I so badly wanted to do it natural. Chris kept trying to get me to take it but I kept saying a little longer. The doctor showed him how he could help me through the pain, and it did help but obviously didn't stop the pain. I started crying and each time a contraction came I felt like I couldnt continue. Chris told me that I didn't have to prove anything, that it didn't make me weak if I got an epidural. He said I was one of the most stubborn people I knew but that I shouldn't be right now. So I agreed to get the epidural. The nurse also trying to comfort me on the epidural told me that not only would it help with the pain but it would speed the contractions up and i could give birth sooner. I am glad that i asked for it when I did because it took them quite awhile to get it to me. The nurse told me she was impressed with me because I was diolated to a six. and the highest is an 8. After the epidural started to work Chris and I tried to get some sleep, the nurse said it wouldn't be much longer till it was time.
