July 22

We went to the doctors on the 16 of this month. The doctor told us that he was going to induce us the following week. He said go into the hospitle Sunday night so they could give us the medicine, then they would induce us Monday morning. I couldn't believe we could actually see the end. We had only 6 days until we would be parents and get to hold our little girl in our arms.

this is the last picture we took pregnant. We are on our way out to the hostpitle.

We got into the Timp. Hospitle, they told us that they weren't expecting us for another 2 hours. So we could go and come back or wait, we decided to wait. So we sat in the hospitle room for that time. Chris was tired so he pulled out the bed (which was the most uncomfortable thing ever) and I turned on the TV. I was so nervous I kept curling up to Chris and crying, then I would get up and pace. Part of me would jump when I thought they were opening our door and the other part of me wanted them to just get it started already. We started getting hungry so Chris grabbed KFC. They finally came in to do the paper work. After we finished it they returned 30 minutes later to tell us that our insurance didn't cover their hosptile. They said that it had just recently changed and our insurance should have sent us something in the mail. I couldn't believe it, all that worrying and I still had to wait. So we called the doctor at our clinic (doc. Parker) and he said that he was at the AF Hospitle right now and we could go over and get it done there. So we packed back up and headed to AF. We got checked in, they gave me the medicine (starts my contractions). It was a slow process, or at least it felt slow.I wasn't against getting an epidural but I wanted to try and see how far I could go. It was hurting very bad, i can't even explain the feeling but I so badly wanted to do it natural. Chris kept trying to get me to take it but I kept saying a little longer. The doctor showed him how he could help me through the pain, and it did help but obviously didn't stop the pain. I started crying and each time a contraction came I felt like I couldnt continue. Chris told me that I didn't have to prove anything, that it didn't make me weak if I got an epidural. He said I was one of the most stubborn people I knew but that I shouldn't be right now. So I agreed to get the epidural. The nurse also trying to comfort me on the epidural told me that not only would it help with the pain but it would speed the contractions up and i could give birth sooner. I am glad that i asked for it when I did because it took them quite awhile to get it to me. The nurse told me she was impressed with me because I was diolated to a six. and the highest is an 8. After the epidural started to work Chris and I tried to get some sleep, the nurse said it wouldn't be much longer till it was time.

Court of Honor

Hayden is getting his court of honor today. That means that he finished the scouting program. Hayden was the only one tonight which was really nice because it was all about Hayden. There was a board set up with his pictures and achievements up for people to look at. Stockton was the conductor of this meeting and I have to admit he was very entertaining with his jokes and comments. Both of my parents got up and talked, they mostly just bragged about Hayden. Then the handed out awards to and we heard Greg speak. Then it was Haydens turn to talk for a minute. Well there is another amazing accomplishment by Hayden. Congrates budd!

Haydens Endowments

Hayden is getting his endowments out today. I am so excited for him and it will be neat to see him in there. Now we just need to wait for Stockton and we will have the whole family in there. I am very proud of him and his decision to go on a mission. Hayden is having his court of honor tomorrow so we the boys are staying the night at our place.

Manly Mower

Chris and I finally got grass in the front yard. Chris is so excited, he has been talking non stop about how he wants to mow the grass. So two weeks after the sod party Chris can finally mow the lawn. He thinks I'm crazy but I had to get a picture of his first time. :)

4th of July

Today is the 4th of July. We decided to go see Despicable Me 2 with my family. It was such a cute movie. After the movie we went to eat diner at Texas Road House. I thought that it would be packed but we got seated right away. The food was good. Then we went to my parents house to hang out. We watched a movie called Parental Guidance. It was pretty funny because it was so true about how some parents are today. By the time the movie was over it was dark outside so we went out on the deck. My mom got sparklers and poppers. So we played with those and watched the big ones across the lake. It was a great 4th of July. Earlier Chris and I were out on the porch talking on the bench. We didn't know but my dad got a picture. It is pretty cute.

36 Weeks

We are 36 weeks along now, I can't believe it. Pregnancy is exciting but difficult at the same time. Right now I want her to be here already but the other part of me is nervous and really enjoying that last little bit I have of being non-parents with Chris. We went in to see the doctor. He measured me and said that I am still measuring small for where I am supposed to be. So we did an ultra sound. We found out that the baby is sitting really low. He is a little concerned that she might be stressed so we did a stress test. That's were they hook me up to some moniturs that keep track of the babies movements and heart rate for 20 minutes. The doctor said that she is very healthy but that we will do a stress test once a week until she comes. He also mentioned that we may need to be induced a week early. We will have to see, we just want her to be healthy.

Steping Up

Today is an exciting today for both sides of our family. First we went to Bobby and Stephanies ward to see Calvin get set apart as a Deacon. It is really cool to hear the great things that his parents had to say about him. He really is a great kid. After wards we went to their house to have a lunch. Were stayed and chatted for quite some time, it was nice to catch up with everyone. It was also nice to talk to the ladies because I am getting closer to our babies due date and they talked to me about things that I didn't know.
As soon as we were done hanging out with Chris's family we headed over to my parents. Today Hayden is getting set apart as an Elder. My dad gave him a beautiful blessing and after that Hayden was officially an Elder. That is so weird to me. Of course we went to my parents after, we had diner, and watched a movie.
Both experiences were cool, and I love that I married a man who honors his preisthood and was able to stand in on both blessings.
