Bee's Game

We are finally going to a bees game. I say finally because if you remember from our first date Chris said we were going to a bees game but we didnt because it was in California. So I have always told him that he owes me a bees game. His work gave him free box seat tickets to the game. It was a lot of fun. I had never been in any kind of box seat before so it was a cool experience. However we didnt do much of watching the bees because tonight is also the first night of a BYU football game that we had playing on the TV inside the box. We did sit outside for a minute to have the Bees experience. We got free diner and desert. Since it was somewhat a work thing Tara and Austin were there too. It was nice to spend time with them and meet other people that Chris works with. The bees lost but thats ok because BYU won!!!!

Birthday Month

This month there are a lot of birthdays. There is both our moms, Josh, Stockton, and now Samuel. My family got together to celebrate them. Yes we still hide their presents just like we always do on birthdays. My mom keeps trying to get rid of the tradition but I will not have it. This year Stockton is turning 16, I know its crazy.  Then we all had diner together followed by cake and ice cream.

Ward Campout

This weekend were going to the ward camp out, mostly because Chris is in charge of it, being the Elders Qoarum President. Kassi Nelson rode up with me because Josh and Chris went up early to get a spot and put up signs. We mostly talked and listened to music. Im just glad that we didnt get lost. We borrowed the Millers tent because we dont have one yet. Chris was worried about the turn out but we were really happy with the way it worked out. A lot of our close friends came. A few couples just came for the evening and then left. We got a beautful sight that gave us plenty of space. The boys made a shooting spot in back for their bebe guns. Some people braught their kids and Im not going to lie but it was pretty entertaining. Their were only boys and they were quit adventurous.When it got dark we had smores and they tasted really good. We stayed up pretty late talking with everyone. So heres the bad part, Chris asked me to get blankets, I thought it was just incase it got cold. Now I realize it was because we didnt have sleeping bags and he wanted something to sleep on. So we had two flannel blankets for the two of us. It was a ruff night, but a good excuse to snuggle close. Luckily some other people were smart and braught extras, they were kind enough to share with us. The morning was pretty fast, we got up made fire, breakfast, cleaned up, and headed home. I like camping, Chris doesnt like to feel dirty so he showered right away.

Dinosaur Museum

Chris and I decided to go to the Dinosaur Museum with Chade and Keri, along with another couple and their baby. Tonight was one dollar tuesday or something like that. The last time that Chris and I went to this museum it was our second date, when we first held hands. We decided to take a picture by the special spot. :) You cant really see it in the picture but its the swimming dinosaur in the small cage right after you pass the big bugs. It was really fun because we goofed around and had some good laughs. Chade and Keri are such a fun couple.

Colorado

Chris got an amazing promotion at work. Now he has to travel at least 3 times a year. He is going to observe his first one this time in Colorado. He will be gone from August 15 to August 17. Since I dont have school or work for another week or two I decided to spend the time alone at my parents house. I dont sleep well by myself, I havent really slept alone before. It was fun to be with my mom and kind of feel like a kid again. I did boot camp with Teri and Krista every morning. It was hard work but it was worth it. I worked on some blankets for Keris shower with my mom. Hayden was so sweet. He slept in the living room with my the first night. The second night Stockton was at a sleep over so I slept in his bed in their room with Hayden. It was fun to talk with him. The last day that I was there I helped John do parking at West Lake High School. As soon as I was done Ranae and I met Alyssa at Target. We were going out to eat with her because it was her birthday! Now the three of us are all legal to.....nevermind. I got home late and waited for Chris to arrive! I loved being with my family and feeling like I did when I lived at home but it was sure nice to have my hubby back. I sure missed him.

Aug. 15-17, 2012

Ranae & Samuel

Today is the day that Ranae and Samuel get married for time and all eternity. I am so happy for both of them. It was a very busy day though and I couldnt wait for it to be over. We got up at six so that we could both get ready. Ranae was feeling much better, thank goodness. We got to the temple, it was a beautiful day. Mom took Ranae in, dad and I waited in the front until it was time to go in. Everyone else started showing up and I was getting worried because Chris hadnt showed up with my brothers yet which was unusual. So I called and he said "doesnt it start at nine thirty?" I was so upset but found out he was just kidding. He was there minutes later.

The ceremony was beautiful. It took awhile to start but it was cool to see all of their family and friends supporting her. Once we got out we waited for them to get ready. When they came out we did family pictures and then I stole them to do wedding pictures. Sarah and Rachel were my little assistents that followed me and held my stuff. So helpful of them. Finally pictures were done and we headed out to eat with my family at training table. (Chris had gone to the gym) we got home and practiced the dance that we were going to perform, and did last minute wedding decorating. When Ranae got back from checking into their hotel I had to redo her hair. ;) We got down to the church, it looked absolutly fantastic. I think that my mom should do it professional because its looked great.

The reception began, in the line was my parents, me, obviously the bride and groom, his parents and his best friend Josh Randall. Hours later we did the main event. They cut the cake and so nicely feed it to each other. Then Ranae tossed her bouquet using her lacrosse stick to fling it. Secretly my cousin Sarah caught it but my other cousin Asia is dating this guy so Sarah tossed it to her. So funny. Then the DJ (Jeff) started with the daddy daughter dance. This is the hardest part for me at weddings. Once the crying was over Samuel had a special number for Ranae. They wheeled the piano in which if no one remembers Chris had talked Stockton into laying across it. I have to admit it was hilarious. So Samuel sang a song to Ranae, it was so cute. Such a great idea, he had a pretty good voice. Then we did out little dance routine to Dynamite. It was so fun even though I messed up on a part. It was so hard not to laugh during the dance when I did. Last but not least they had the first married couple dance and slowly invited parents grandparents until everyone was in. Then the bride and groom headed off in their Oreo car to their honeymoon.

I am so happy for Ranae and Im glad that it is with Samuel. They are so good for eachother. Welcome to the family Sam!

In-law Diner

My sister is marrying her high school sweet heart on the fourth of August. My grandma and grandpa Yates are coming from their mission in Florida to be here for Ranae. They came two days before the wedding to help out. We also have the Barkers coming from Nevada and Jeffs family from Kansas. I have been over at my families a lot trying to help out as much as I can since I dont have work or school. Its the day before the wedding and Ranae is moving her stuff into her new apt. They are moving to Orem so they are going to drive down and pick me up on their way so I can help. It didnt take to long to get everything in until we got to the couch. Its wasnt fitting into the door way so Hayden and Samuel (since they were trapped outside ) went to the store to get a screw driver to take off the hinge. So me, dad, Dave, Stockton, and Ranae were stuck on the inside. We waited and talked until they got back. Once she was all moved in we went to the store to pick up some gold fish for her center piece. Once we had them all we ran into mom, Sarah, and Rachel at hobby lobby. We decided to hang out with her. Once we finished picking up flowers at Costco we headed home. Were having the meet the in-laws diner tonight so we headed straight to the church. We ate food and mingled with family, one of my favorite things to do. Once the diner was over Chris took Hayden and Stockton to our place because Im spending the night at my parents. I am doing Ranaes hair in the morning and she has to be ready to go out the door by 7:30am. That night we were over at the Yates doing out nails with all of our aunts and cousins. It was a lot of fun to have a "girls night" with all of them. Later that night we watched the begining of Thor but ended up stopping half way to go to sleep. However Ranae got a really bad migrain so we were up on my parents bed trying to get it to go away. It was a ruff night but we all got through it.
