4th of July

We went up to "make out point" to watch the fireworks. It was cool because up there you can see from Provo to Saratoga Springs. We saw all the fireworks going off. We also had a good view of the Stadium of Fire. We got up there at about 7 but it didnt get dark until 9 so we brought games up to play. It was us, the Nelsons, and the Hansens. We played catch phrase, girls vs boys. Ill give it to the boys they had us beat most of the time, but on our defense we always seemed to get it when it was right about to buzz. I sat on Chriss lap when the fireworks started going off. When the Stadium of Fire started it was so cool. All of a sudden they stopped so half the people got up and left because David started cheering like it was over. It was pretty funny. I love my friends. What a wonderful night it was.

Freedom of America

Kassi and Josh invited us to go with them to the Freedom of America. It was fun because it was a fancy diner. We got all dressed up to go, I liked it because its not something we get to do a lot. First we ate a salad, then they brought out the main meal. It was steak and salmon. I was so happy because they had dessert. It was strawberry filed cake. Chris said he didnt want any so I told him to get one anyway and I would eat it, so I got two cakes. When we finished eating they gave out 4 awards to people who contributed to the freedom of America. It was cool to hear their stories. When the show was over we decided to stop by iceberg. I didnt get anything but surprisingly Chris got a shake. It was a good night.

Camping

Chris and I went camping today with some of our couple friends. There was the Millers, the Downings, the Neilsons, and the soon to be Barnes. My sister and Samuel are engaged. So we planned on going up to Payson Canyon but all the spots were taken we didnt know what else to do so we just kept going up until we came out the other side in Nephi. We talked to the Millers, who were supposed to met us up there later. We decided that we would take a break and eat and they would find us a camp spot in Santaquin. We ate hamburgers at the park and feed the seagull that Samuel named. When we finally arrived we set up our tents. Tyler made a fire and by then it was dark so we all sat around the fire and made smores. When we finished up we all got ready for bed. Everyone got into our tent to talk except the Millers. They went to their tent. We talked for awhile. Samuel slept on a cot outside and Ranae slept in the tent with us. Not going to lie the night was a little ruff.
In the morning Chade started making his famous breakfest, one pot. When Chris and I got up we started wrestling. We almost took of Ranaes head a few times but Samuel came in and so she was to distracted to notice. As soon as breakfast was about done we got out and sat around the fire. Chris toasted the english muffins. Breakfast was fantastic. When we finished breakfast we cleaned everything up and got ready to go. We decided to go on a small hike to see a waterfall. When we got there there were a lot of people but we finally got our picture by it and headed back. This is the first time we have camped together. I loved it.

21rst Birthday

Today was my birthday! I turned 21 this year! I keep joking with people that I can finally drink and gamble. Right when I woke up Chris was standing by my side of the bed holding up a present. He said do you want to open it now? He got me a photo editing program. Im so excited to use it. I had work from 8-12 with the summer school special needs kids. Chris usually works til five but since it was my birthday I picked him up on my way home. When I came inside my apt. was all decorated, I was surprised. Then Ranae poped out from behind my ottoman. Its really shocked me, I totally didnt expect it. Then Samuel came over, I showered and then we went out to taconos. I got a free meal coupon for my birthday and I got to shack a maraca awhile they sang happy birthday to me. It was pretty fun. Then we went out to my parents house to help with the wedding planning. Chris and I also watched Planet of the Apes.

Fathers Day

Today is fathers day but it is also Ranaes homecoming talk. It was cool because Hayden was the youth speaker speaking on modesty, then it was my mom who talked about fathers, the primary sang to the dads and then Ranae talked on Rescue. They all did a fabulous job, like I have said before I have an amazing family. As soon as sacrament was over Chris and I booked him to my parents house because I had to finish making my dessert. I did it super fast and they turned out great. I love to hear when people like my treats, I made oreo balls. Its fun because a lot of Ranae and my friends are the same so I got to see some of my old friends. The lacrosse girls came and were hoping to do a scrimage sometime soon. People were over from about 12-3:30. When they all had left we wrapped my dads presents and hid them. This year we got my dad and lazer pointer, it can go super far. After he opened presents the boys went down to watch the finals game. Chris is the only one cheering for Miami. Us girls watched Ever After. Chris went and saw his dad 2 days ago and gave him these 3 stuffed minions from dispicable me.

Friends

Ranae has been home for 3 days and I have been enjoying spending time with her but my mom decided that we should finally let her friends see her. So we invited her closest friends over on saturday. Mom wasnt feeling good so she stayed in her room for a while. I would go in and talk to her and bring her what she needed. She ate some mac and cheese and felt better so she came out to mingle. The food was good and it was nice to see the people that stopped by. I also want to take this time to thank my wonderful husband. He has been so sweet to let me spend 3 days straight and my parents house. He hasnt complained about anything and I really appreciated him. We are headed to finally be at our own place together for the first time in 3 days.

shooting

Chris went rabbit hunting with Chade and Brett last night so I spent the night at my parents. Chris said that he shoot a baby rabbit because they accidentally ran over it with a four wheeler and it was running in circles so he put it out of its misery. For me I was up talking to Hayden all night. It was funny because at 3 am Stockton was already fast asleep but he started to roll his arms and as he sat up he shouted YA I got it!!! and layed back down. Hayden and I couldn't stop laughing. Chris came and woke me up at 8:30 so we could go shooting with some people in our ward. We just drove past my parents subdivision do the shooting spot. Chris and I rod the four wheeler around for a minute and Hayden just talked to Chade. We waited bu the road so people in our ward knew where to turn. An ambulance came by and asked if there were any accidents up by us. We saw many pass by back and forth but we hadn't seen or heard anything. When everyone showed up we prayed and ate some hot dogs. Then we got the guns out set up targets and started shooting. I wasn't really good at the guns but I would fling the the birds when people yelled pull. I told Chris that I was the official pull girl and he just laughed. It was way fun I hadn't been shooting in a while. My favorite was the rifle and my friends Megan's hand gun.
