Independence Day

Today is Independence day, we went out to Saratoga Springs to go shooting with some family. It was my family plus Spencer and Ron. My kids were being watched by Krista and Eve. Eve was super excited, Ron said that the night before she was getting everything ready like picking out toys and movies for Jaylee. She was saw some things she didnt' want Jaylee to touch and she said "this is going to be a problem" Krista also said that 30 minutes after we left Eve said "I am so tired" then she disapeared to her room to take a nap! ha ha silly girl. Shooting was fun. We drove up to the shooting spot and got guns ready. First we did the hand guns, then moved on to bigger guns. Lastly we used the shoot guns, we aimed at the clay pidgeons and turned it into a compotition although I cant even saw who won or how many anyone got! It was fun though. After shooting Chris and I grabbed the kids and went home. It was their nap time so we showered. Ranae and Samuel cae over and we watched a movie. The boys went to the store and baught a game to play and cooked enchalada casserole. It was so good. Then we watched Grown Ups after Jaylee went down!

Family Party

We love having the family over and what a better reason to get together than our Jaylee's birthday! We inved every over for ice cream and cake plus we have left over cup cakes from yesterday! We stuck with the Toy Story theme. We started at 6:30, after everyone arrived we went outside because we needed more space! We put our patio furnitor and some blankets on the grass and braught her presents over. We started to interduce family to eavhother and Jaylee just couldn't wait and she started opening gifts. She was so excited she didn't even know what to do, she would start opeing one and then move on to another! So Chris sat with her and helped her. I'm going to try to remember who got her what! Grandma Yates couldn't come but she made Jay 3 dresses. Papa got her 2 books, one he wrote in special for her. Josh got her a dinosaur book. Jenni has an outfit for her and is going to take her to build a bear. Jay got an outfit, and a toy rhino from Stockton and Hayden ;) Grandma and Grandpa Rentfro got her a tea set that plays music and talks when you play with it. Sierra got her a Minnie Mouse wagon and towel, plus 4 bows, 2 of which she made. Chris and I got her some toy food for her kitchen, and a toy dinosaur. She wanted me to bring the present we gave her last night which was barbies of Princess Belle and Beast. When she opened all of the presents we braught the cake over and lite the candles. We sang happy birthday to her! She had such a big smile on her face and the way she tried to blow out the candle was so cute! After that we all just hung out as people started to head out. Jaylee was sitting on a blanket surrounded by Ranae Samuel Sierra, Sarah, and Michael. They had blown up some ballons and were putting them in the middle by Jay awhile she swaughted them away! She absolutly loved it. I am so glad that everyone came, we feel so much love and support for our little family! I love everyone and I know that Jaylee does too!

Friend Party

Jaylee is two and we have some friends that have kids about her age so we invited them over! We had cup cakes, ice cream, and otter pops to eat! I filled up water ballons, filled up a small pool, and had a sprinkler hooked to the hose so the kids could have some fun getting wet in the water! Jaylee loved it! We had the Dowses bring Avery, Purvis's braught Claire, and the Sykes braugh Emerson and Ensley! It was so much fun to catch up with some friends and watch our kids play together! Jaylee and Avery really liked the ballons and pool! Even Nixon got into the pool! Her friends even braught her some presents! She got a book, a small piano (she already has the same one, we want to take it back and get her a soccer ball), and a minion plato set! So nice of them to think to do that and to come hang out!

Jaylee's 2nd Birthday

Today Jaylee turns 2 years old! Before today if you asked her how old she was she would argue that she was already two, and now we can no longer argue with her. Since it is a Wednesday Chris took work off so that we could have a fun day all about Jaylee! At 10 we took her to see the Minion movie, She got a little antsie at the end but she seemed to really like it, she loves the minions. After that we took her to the Slab in Orem for lunch. It is a pizza place! She was getting tired so we at it and then took her home for a nap! Once she was finished with her nap we took her out for diner too! We took her to Chili's! She loved it, they even gave her free ice cream and sang to her! She didn't know what to think at first! When we finished eating we headed over to Stephanie and Bobbys house because they have horses and they said that Jaylee could come over and ride them! She loved it, I was worried that she would get a little scared but once we stuck her on one she started bouncing saying "Go Horse!" She has really liked Toy Story and one of her favorites is Bullseye, Woody's horse! That was one reason we thought of doing this for her birthday! She has a fun busy day, we even went by to see Grandpa Williamson, and Great Grandma! It is also her birthday too! I hope that Jay had a great birthday! I can't believe how fast time has flown! Happy Birthday Princess!

Stockton to Elder

We went to see Stockton get set apart as an Elder today. Stockton looked like he was in shock, he was wide eyed the entire time. Presient Ron Edwards, a good friend of ours, set him apart and gave him a blessing. It was long but it was beautiful. I know that Stockton will be a great missionary and touch so many peoples lives. He is a great kid and I am so proud of him. So glad that we got to make it to this, we were nervous because our babysitting situation was looking ruff. Stockton got set apart at 8:30 pm so our kids were in bed. Emma was going to come and babysit but she thought we said to be there at 8:30 not starts at 8:30 so we called in a huge favor with the neighbor girl, Kaylee Pettigrew to watch the kids. It all worked out.

Elder Stockton Rentfro

Stockton is leaving for his mission today! He is to report at the MTC by 1:30, so we went to Brick Oven at  11:30. I still feels unreal to me! Stockton looked very sharp in his suit, he also looked like a dear in head lights. I think it is starting to hit him too that this is actually happening like right now! My family plus grandma and grandpa yates came to Brick Oven. We all got the special, and Stockton got to eat free because he was leaving on his mission. It felt like a normal day until we went outside and had to say good-bye. I think the hardest part about him leaving was seeing him hold Jaylee and Nixon and thinking that the next time that he gets to see them is when she is four and he is 2 1/2. It is so hard to think he has to miss those stages of their life. I know that he will be a great missionary and that he is going were he needs to be. Good luck Stockton, we will miss you!

Date Night

Ranae and Samuel planned a fun date for us. Sam called it Couples Olypics. It was so much fun, Stockton said he was going to be late so we started the out doors stuff awhile it was hot. First we filled up water ballons and did the ballon toss. Chris and I won that one, we got the furthest apart without poping the ballon. We gave Jaylee some water ballons and she just loved popping them. Since we had spare ballons we decided to team up and do the ballon toss with towles. We got them to go pretty high but we weren't very good at keeping the ballon alive very long. When we were done Samuel grabbed a watermelon and some rubber bands. He had seen on youtube someone exploded a watermelon by putting a ton of rubber bands around it. We were so close, you could see the watermelon being tightened but we ran out of rubber bands. We gently tossed it and it poped. As soon as it opened Jaylee ran over and started eating it. It was so funny! Chris's dad stopped by awhile we were doing the watermeon activity and he played with Nixon who was being so good at just hanging out and watching. He is such a chil baby! The next activity was to feed your spouse pudding awhile you were blind folded. Samuel was first and he did a very good job. You can't move your head awhile being fed but Ranae got most of the pudding into his mouth. It was so funny and hard but I'll say we all did pretty good, until it was Chris's turn. He thought it would be funny to not even try so he was going crazy, I couldn't even give him directions because he would put a ton on the spoon so I didn't have time to swallow it before he was trying to give me more again. I had to stopp him a few times to keep from gagging on the pudding. Even though he made me a mess it was pretty funny. The boys went inside to make diner and Ranae and I stayed out with Jay and Nixon. We put Jaylee in her swim suit and filled up her little pool. I was water the grass and she came over to me and so I handed her the house and she became so happy. She was in heaven, she would tried to get Ranae wet. She is so funny. Diner was great we had enchalada casserole with home made healthier fries. After we were done it was time for Jaylee to go to bed. Then Stockton and Sierra came over and we played our last couples game. It was a trivia game about your partner. Ranae and Sam had 14 questions and we would respond what we thought of our spouse/ friend (haha) and then what we thought they said about us. Chris and I won this game too! :) We got the most right 11 points, the highest you could get was 28. It was so fun to do a date that is a little different than we usually do.

Stocktons Farewell

Stockton had his farewell, he gave his talk at 3, his church has sacrament last! I went to my dads class before that. It teaches the marriage and parenting class. The time that he is given isn't ear long enough, I love learning that kind of stuff. My cousin Spencer was the youth speaker, he did a great job. Then my mom talked about how to prepare your kids to serve God. Then the choir sang a song and finally it was Stocktons turn! I loved his talk, I can't believe that it is his farewell talk. He told a story called "The Room" I loved it. Stockton is already mature beyond his years! Chris was out of town so I had the kids by myself. At first I was on the front row which was a big mistake because Jaylee thought she could roam free. Ranae and Samuel held Nixon for me, he was so good. I went and sat were the deacons were at after the sacrament was over. Jaylee is just busy, trying to crawl under seats and talk to people. She loved nursery before, didn't have a problem going in and me leaving her there. When church was over we went up to my parents. My mom and treats and fruit for all the guest. We had a crowded house, it was good though, nice to see some of Stocktons friends and see everyone who loved and supported him. I also always love seeing my big family. I'm so proud of you Stockton!
